Duke of Edinburgh Gold Practice Expedition

A group of students from Year 12 participated in a Practice expedition to the Peak District last week (from Sunday to Tuesday).  The walked from Macclesfield Forest over Shutlingsloe to Gradbach on Day 1, camping at Gradbach Scout Camp. On Day 2 they walked through the Dane Valley and then over the Roaches to Hazel Barrow Farm (a very wild and remote campsite).  Then on Day 3, they walked back to Macclesfield Forest.  Weather was great and students were fantastic.
